Nabi Close to Becoming Chiefs’ Head Coach
Nasreddine Nabi is purportedly one step closer to becoming the new head coach of Kaizer Chiefs.
Earlier this month, media outlets reported that Chiefs were keen to hire the Tunisian coach, who currently manages Moroccan club FAR Rabat. Discussions between club officials and Nabi’s representatives were said to be taking place.
According to the latest reports, both parties have reached an agreement. What’s more, Rabat have apparently given the 58-year-old manager permission to leave after he honours his remaining season fixtures with the club.
Rabat has two upcoming games on 14 June and 23 June, the latter of which is against Maghreb de Fès in the Moroccan Throne Cup semi-final – if Rabat wins that bout and progresses to the finals, then Nabi will be expected to stay on for that match, too.
A deal has not been officially confirmed by either party at this stage.
